Submission of 4-page paper (final draft): April 27th, 2012 Submission of demonstrator description: April 27th, 2012 Notification of acceptance: June 15th, 2012 Submission of camera-ready paper: July 2nd, 2012 Author registration deadline: July 16th, 2012 Scope The technical scope of the workshop is the enhancement of speech and audio signals including, e.g., noise reduction, acoustic echo control, source separation, and improvement of intelligibility. These areas have attracted wide academic and industrial interest. Topics Acoustic echo control Noise reduction Dereverberation Active noise control Speech intelligibility enhancement Error and packet loss concealment Binaural signal processing Source separation Source localization Auditory scene analysis and classification Microphone arrays Adaptive filtering algorithms and structures Multirate systems Quality assessment Speech and audio databases Acoustic environment simulation Software and hardware tools Applications: hearing aids, cell phones, audio-visual conferencing systems, and voice over IP New and emerging topics in speech and audio processing Procedures Authors are invited to submit original and previously unpublished papers in any of the technical areas relevant to the workshop. A copy of the papers will be published online (at www.iwaenc.org) and on CD-ROM. Submission: A 4 page final draft of the paper should be submitted online via the workshop website. Please use our LaTeX or Microsoft Word style files for paper preparation. Authors are strongly encouraged to give relevant demonstrations as part of their presentation. Demonstrators Besides the regular paper presentations, a separate demonstrator session is planned. For a contribution to this demonstrator session a brief description of the demonstrator should be submitted online via the workshop website. This description will not be included in the workshop proceedings. BEST STUDENT PAPER AWARD The IWAENC Technical Committee will award the “Best Student Paper Award” for the best student paper. The selection will be based on originality, scientific merit, and quality of writing and presentation. The paper must be presented by the candidate student to be qualified for the award. |
