SCOPE
The International Conference on Agglutinative Language Technologies as a Challenge of Natural Language Processing (ALTNLP) has established itself as a multidisciplinary conference in natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning (ML) along with computational optimization. ALTNLP provides an international online forum for the presentation of original multidisciplinary research results as well as a platform for the exchange and dissemination of innovative and practical development.
ALTNLP aims to explore and discuss modern issues and approaches of natural language processing and machine learning to agglutinative languages and other weakly formalized languages. ALTNLP’s main objective is to provide an opportunity for leading academic scientists, researchers, engineers, scholars and other professionals from all over the world to contribute to the development of these fields and exchange new ideas as well as research outcomes in related fields, in turn, establishing lasting partnerships for future collaboration.

TOPICS
We are highly interested in original research papers and novel ideas that cover both the NLP and ML domain.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Specific standards, guidelines, tagsets, and terminology in NLP for morphologically-rich languages
- Resources, evaluation and other NLP Applications for agglutinative and other morphologically-rich Languages
- Text mining (classification, tagging, and parsing), information extraction and retrieval for agglutinative and other languages
- Machine learning and machine translation with a focus on agglutinative and morphologically rich languages
- Morphologically-rich corpora development for languages such as Turkic languages and more
- Methods and software to aid labor intensive tasks in the development of morphologically-aware resources and tools for NLP and ML tasks for Turkic and other languages

SUBMISSION INFORMATION
We accept only full-length research papers that are to be at least five (5) and not exceed eight (8) pages, plus unlimited pages for references.
Submissions should be anonymized and uploaded electronically through the Easychair platform and formatted according to the official single-column CEUR-ART style template available at http://ceur-ws.org/Vol-XXX/CEURART.zip.
Reviews of submissions will be double-blind.
There is a pre-defined Overleaf template at https://www.overleaf.com/read/vgccthngprgf.
After clicking the link choose “copy project” in the Overleaf menu.
You need to be registered and logged in to Overleaf in order to be able to do that.
The conference is free to attend.
Registration is necessary: the link for the registration will be provided in the due time.

IMPORTANT DATES
- 14th December 2021 Call for papers
- 8th March 2022 Abstracts
- 15th March 2022 Final papers
- 15th May 2022 Acceptance
- 6th June 2022 Conference

PUBLICATION POSSIBILITIES
All of the papers accepted for the conference will be published in an E-Proceedings Book with an ISBN number at the CEUR Workshop Proceedings (http://ceur-ws.org/).
Following the peer review process, selected full texts will be considered for publication in one of the following scientific journals after the journal’s review process.
Informatica: An International Journal of Computing and Informatics as a Special issue
Organizacija: Authors of selected papers dealing with organizational and managerial aspects of language technologies and information systems will be proposed to submit extended versions of their papers for publication in the journal Organizacija. Such papers will undergo a regular review process.
The organizers are negotiating with the journals that will publish the best papers from the conference in linguistic topics.
