IberSPEECH’2016 IX Jornadas en TecnologÃas del Habla & V Iberian SLTech Workshop November 23-25 Lisboa, Portugal http://iberspeech2016.inesc-id.pt Important dates: *** Regular Paper submission (extended) deadline: July 10, 2016 *** Call for Papers --------------------- It is a great pleasure for us to announce that IberSPEECH’2016 will be held in Lisbon, Portugal, from 23 to 25 November 2016. The IberSPEECH event - the third of its kind using this name - brings together the IX Jornadas en TecnologÃas del Habla and the V Iberian SLTech Workshop events. The IberSPEECH’2016 conference is co-organized by INESC-ID Lisboa, the Spanish Thematic Network on Speech Technology (RTTH), and the ISCA Special Interest Group on Iberian Languages (SIG-IL). We encourage all the community working on processing of Iberian Languages to participate this coming November in a three-day event planned to promote interaction and discussion. There will be a wide variety of activities: technical papers presentations, keynote lectures, presentation of projects, laboratories activities, recent PhD thesis, discussion panels, and awards to the best thesis and papers. The topics of interest regarding processing Iberian languages include, but are not limited to: 1. Speech technology and applications 2. Human speech production, perception, and communication 3. Natural language processing (NLP) and applications 4. Speech, Language and Multimodality 5. Resources, standardization, and evaluation Paper Submission ------------------- Papers must be written in English and submission will be online. Papers must be submitted in PDF, following the LNAI format and should be up to ten (10) and no less than six (6) pages including references. The last (10th) page can only contain references. Upon acceptance, at least one author will be required to register and present the paper at the conference. Publication of selected papers by Springer in the Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence (LNAI) is planned (not yet confirmed). We hope to meet you in Lisbon next November.
