The recent advances in Information Technology (IT) are driving innovations and organizational changes in different sectors of our international society. Emerging IT techniques are reshaping business activities towards the services sector that is increasingly delivered over the Internet. IT-enabled services have a great potential to create interesting opportunities for research and development in organizations and industries to the benefit of the end-user.

ICITeS is an international forum aiming to bridge the gap between academics and practitioners in IT and promote exchange of experiences and ideas on recent trends and applications in IT, e-Services and related areas. It is also a place where researchers, students and industrials present the state-of-the-art advancements in their fields.

In this second edition, ICITeS has broaden its program and topics to encompass emerging research on the Web of Things and its impact in developing specific e-services to integrate objects in the web.

ICITeS'2012 is pleased to announce that all accepted papers will be published in IEEEXplore digital library. Also, exeptionally for this second edition, all authors of accepted papers will be invited to submit extended versions of their papers to be published into international journals.
