We invite colleagues to submit a text on the subject of "music in the press in the 20th and 21st centuries" with the purpose of editing and publishing a reader. We accept proposals which deal with issues regarding the topics of music criticism and journalism (printed or online) comprehending all music genres from popular to classical throughout the 20th century onwards until present. The authors may submit texts dealing with aspects on the state of the art as well as new perspectives on the topic within a range of scientific domains from musicology to sociology and media and cultural studies. The final drafts should have between 8,000 and 10,000 words and may be written in Portuguese, Spanish or English.

The deadline for final submission is September the 30th of 2012. We request those interested to submit a title and abstract (up until 300 words) by January the 31st.
