FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT AND CALL FOR PAPERS

The organizers of Creative Construction 2012 cordially invite you to participate in this conference, which will take place 30 June – 3 July 2012 in Budapest, the capital city of Hungary famous for its old Europe’s charm and breathtaking architecture.
The Chair of the Organizing Committee, Prof. Miklós Hajdu (Szent István University, Ybl Miklós Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Budapest) and the Chair of the International Scientific Committee, Prof. Mirosław Skibniewski (University of Maryland, Dept. of Civil & Environmental Engineering e-Construction Group, College Park, USA) and their team of collaborators are arranging an innovative scientific programme paired with accompanying social events.
The Creative Construction 2012 Conference is an excellent opportunity for collective brainstorming and exploring together the known and unknown boundaries of construction. We are looking forward to seeing you in Budapest in the summer of 2012.

CALL FOR PAPERS AND SESSIONS
Papers are invited on topics related to the general concept of Creative Construction. Themes of interest include, but are not limited to, the list given in the “Topics” section. The International Scientific Committee will review all abstracts and full papers. Accepted papers will be included in the ISBN numbered proceedings. Expanded and fully refereed versions of selected papers will be published in a special issue of Automation in Construction, an international research journal published by Elsevier.
Invited and contributed papers will be organized into several parallel sessions. The sessions will be part of distinct Conference streams, and streams are grouped by corresponding technical fields.
All abstracts should be submitted online. This section of the website (www.cc2012.org) opens in January 2012.
Guidelines:
• The abstract text should be within 300 words (together with space) and typeface in Body text format (see template)
• The abstract title must be brief (max. 2 lines allowed in "Title Case" format) and clearly indicate the nature of the investigation (see template)
• Authors number: will be maximized: 10 names
• Workplaces: max. 10 different workplaces
• The abstract must represent original work and should be as informative as possible.
• The body of the abstract should be ordered as follows:
o Objectives of study
o Methods
o Results
o Conclusions
• 5 keywords needed at the end of the abstract text
Once the abstract has been submitted, modified or deleted, the corresponding author will automatically receive an acknowledgement of receipt, modification or cancellation (by email).
Correspondence regarding the abstracts such as confirmation of submission, notification of acceptance or rejection and instructions for presentation will only be sent to the corresponding author. It is his/her responsibility to forward the information to all co-authors. The presenting author is required to register for the Conference and pay the registration fee as a condition of presenting the paper.

REGISTRATION
Registration is required for all conference participants preferably until March 31, 2012. It is recommended to make the registration online, which is available from January, 2012. In order to avoid double charges, please register only ONCE. Early bird fees are available until March 31, 2012. Any registration and payment received after that date will be accepted as regular registration. Confirmation will be sent to all participants by the organisers upon receipt of registration and payment.

• 100% refund (minus an administrative fee of 50 Euro) -
in case of cancellation received before May 15, 2012
• No refund - in case of cancellation, received after May 15, 2012
