The Journal of Game Design and Development Education (JGDDE) is a peer-reviewed
journal that covers all aspects of teaching the art, craft and science of game design and development to students in and out of a higher education setting. Games are a multidisciplinary medium and those of us who teach their creation come from as broad a set of backgrounds as you can find. JGDDE will celebrate that diversity of skills and backgrounds. We look forward to having you as readers and as contributors. The JDGGE will publish: • Original research • Book reviews • Survey articles Submissions will be accepted on a rolling basis. Submitted papers should be original work that has not appeared in any other peer-reviewed publication. Survey articles should provide significant “value add” in terms of practical advice based on extensive expertise. Papers may not be submitted elsewhere while under review by JDGGE. Manuscripts meriting review will be read anonymously, usually by two referees. In most instances, authors can expect decisions on their work within 90 days. The Journal retains the right to make changes in accepted manuscripts that (in the opinion of the editor) do not substantially alter meaning as well as for grammatical, stylistic and space considerations. We look forward to your submissions and will ensure that it enters the blind-peer review process without delay. Send all papers for the 2012 issue by August 30th.
