International Journal of Productivity and Performance Management Special issue on Performance measurement of sustainable supply chains Guest Editors: Dr Luisa Huaccho Huatuco, University of Leeds, UK (lh2@lubs.leeds.ac.uk) Dr Jairo Montoya-Torres, Universidad de La Sabana, Colombia (jairo.montoya@unisabana.edu.co) Dr Nicky Shaw, University of Leeds, UK (nes@lubs.leeds.ac.uk) Dr Anisoara Calinescu, University of Oxford, UK (ani.calinescu@cs.ox.ac.uk) Given the reality of global warming and the rapid usage of natural resources, academics and non-academics have recently focused their attention on the sustainability aspect of supply chains. Similar to the questions proposed by Piplani et al. (2008) and Hassini et al. (2012), there are key questions that need to be answered, such as: How to distribute the sustainability-related costs and gains among supply chain partners? How could sustainability inform and determine the design or redesign of highly performing supply chains? What set of performance measures could capture the effect of major disruptions in sustainable supply chains? Are performance measures in sustainable supply chains generic, or industry-specific? Performance measurement in this context refers to the study of supply chains taking into account the triple bottom line, i.e. economic, social and environmental dimensions (Elkington, 1997, Carter and Rogers, 2008). We are particularly interested in research that takes into account all these three dimensions in a single research paper. The purpose of this special issue is to present the most recent theoretical and practical developments in performance measurement of sustainable supply chains. Areas of interest include (but are not limited to): .Supply chain management .Manufacturing systems .Reverse logistics .Case studies .Design and redesign of sustainable supply chains .Measurement methodologies and challenges. Submission deadline: 28 February 2013 Paper submission Authors should submit their manuscripts in MSWord to http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/ijppm Authors must select ``Special Issue: Performance Measurement of Sustainable Supply Chains'' when selecting the article type.
