Themes and Goals

The aim of the workshop is to bring together researchers from Social
Network, Web 2.0 Area with different approaches of Intelligent Tutoring
for a more significant contribution that improve the quality of ITS.
Researchers are using intelligent approach to facilitate teaching and
learning, E-learning researchers use their methodology to enhance
learning, Social researches talk about using their facilitations to
enhance a collaborative learning and to gather students and teachers
online, Semantics Web and Web Science researchers are using semantics to
extract meaning and use them to build understandable e-courses.
Additionally, Web 2.0 is becoming gradually more important for students
and teacher as well. This is why we also want to focus on all the services
that the Web can provide in a transdisciplinary approach.

The main goal of this workshop is to develop a vision for ITS based on a
Social Network learning and to discuss the state-of-the-art, open
problems, challenges and innovative research approaches in adaptation and
personalization for the Social Network learning with ITS. It intends to
explore the promises of the Web 2.0 in the broad area of ITS by gathering
researchers from the areas of Semantic Web, Social Web, E-Learning,
Collaborative Learning, Adaptive Learning, Agent techniques, Machine
Learning, pedagogy and education.

This workshop brings all of these issues together to encourage researchers
in many topics to discuss the following questions:

1.How do we use Web 2.0 services to enhance ITS?
2.How do we use Web Science to enhance learning?
3.How do we merge Web 2.0, and Semantics Web to enhance learning methodology?

4.What are the most efficient tools, models, techniques, and services to
support learning with Web 2.0 learners?
5.How do we use personalization methodologies to support ITS with Web 2.0
environments?

Original papers related to the design, implementation and evaluation of
ITS based on Web 2.0, Semantic Web, and Web Science are solicited.

-Web 2.0 user interfaces, rich media ITS.
-Web Science topology of Web based ITS
-Web Services for ITS
-Linked Data Web to enhance E-learning
-Exploiting folksonomies, social network information, interaction,
-User context and communities or groups for ITS
-Semantic Web ITS, use of ontologies or microformats
-Empirical evaluation of social ITS techniques.
-ITS based on Web 2.0
-ITS Adaptation and personalization with Social Network
-ITS based on Semantics Web.
-Mobile Learning with Social Network
-Enhancing ITS using Ontology

Submission Instructions

We invite researchers to submit full papers of up to 10 pages (including
references) or short papers of up to 4 pages and position papers (2
pages).. Submissions must be in English. Reviewing of papers will be
double-blind by the members of the program committee, and all submissions
will receive several independent reviews. Authors of accepted papers will
present their research at the workshop. The probable duration of the
workshop is half day. Presenters will give a presentation of 20 min
including the time for a round of questions. 20 min at the end of the
session will be dedicated to a general debate about the presented
techniques, methodology and perspectives of the future. Accepted papers
will be published in the proceedings of the workshop. The papers must use
the Springer LNCS format.
