Call For Papers

Dear Colleague,

IECON is the flagship conference of Industrial Electronics Society which attracts more than thousand participants. It is an international forum for discussion and presentation of the latest technologies and discoveries in the world of Industrial Electronics and related areas.

We would appreciate if you will kindly consider submitting a paper to the Special Session on “Thermoelectric Generators” (http://iecon2012.org/file/SS57.pdf).

Technical Outline of the Session and Topics:
For ecological but also for economic reasons, there is a growing interest in the use of ambient heat as an energy source. Miniature dimensions and the absence of regular maintenance makes Thermoelectric Generators (TEGs) the technology of choice for energy harvesting in smart sensors and as a reliable energy source in remote applications. Furthermore, new materials and decreasing cost lead to new applications of the technology in waste heat recovery.

Topics to be covered include but are not limited to:
• New Materials for TEGs
• Optimal System Layout of TEGs
• Modeling and Simulation of TEG components and TEG systems
• System Integration (power converters for TEGs)
• Novel Application Domains
• User Experience/Success Stories
Please notice that currently IECON is the only IES Conference recognized by the Web of Science.

We are looking forward to your contribution via the conference submission system (http://ieee-ies.org/submit-cgi-bin/authorlogin.pl?event=IECON12) by April 15th, 2012. Please make sure to select Technical Track "SS57 Thermoelecric Generator"

Please indicate your intention to submit to the special session organizers Goerg Frey or Felix Felgner (georg.frey@aut.uni-saarland.de, felix.felgner@aut.uni-saarland.de)!
