FIRST CALL FOR SHORT PAPERS PEMRA 2014
The 2nd International Workshop on Perception for Mobile Robots Autonomy will provide a venue where researchers, academics, scientists, engineers and practitioners throughout the world can gather to present and discuss the latest achievements, future challenges, and exciting applications of perception systems for mobile robots in general, and climbing and walking robots in particular. PEMRA encourages papers dealing with the fundamentals of mobile robotics in unstructured and dynamic environments. The workshop covers topics in sensing, computational architecture, communication, planning, learning, control, and multi-robot cooperation. Contributions deriving inspiration from nature are particularly encouraged. The PEMRA 2014 technical program will boast a single track. The track will accommodate peer-reviewed articles, comprising regular sessions, dealing with theoretical, experimental, and application-oriented work. The event will also include dynamic keynote lectures from internationally recognized experts. The conference will further feature tour of research laboratories. CONTRIBUTIONS: Short papers will give an opportunity to present recent and on-going research. They should briefly introduce the problem, present motivation for the research, scientific methodology being used, and provide exemplary results. The page limit is 4 to 6 pages, including illustrations, tables, and references. Selected short papers would be considered for the publication in Journal of Automation, Mobile Robotics & Intelligent Systems (www.jamris.org). |
