COMPARING MODELING APPROACHES WORKSHOP AT MODELS 2012
Innsbruck, Austria, September 30, 2012

http://cserg0.site.uottawa.ca/cma2012

The Second International Comparing Modeling Approaches (CMA)
workshop brings together practitioners of different modeling
approaches to discuss and evaluate their various approaches
in the context of a focused case study and provided comparison
criteria. Different modeling approaches are based on paradigms
(e.g., aspect-oriented, object-oriented, service-oriented,
feature-oriented), range in use from requirements to low-level
design, are developed for various purposes such as requirements
analysis and testing, and thus are difficult to compare. Such
comparisons are critical to help practitioners know under which
conditions different approaches are most applicable, and how
they might be successfully generalized and combined to achieve
end-to-end methods.

Accepted models will be published in the Repository for Model
Driven Development (ReMoDD). After the workshop, participants
are strongly encouraged to participate in publication of the
workshop report in the MODELS 2012 Satellite Proceedings which
will be part of the ACM Digital Library, and a more
comprehensive journal publication effort spanning results from
previous workshops that will focus on the insights gained
during the workshop.
