At a glance
'Responsible Economy' Scientific & Popular Papers (RE) is a recently created Ukrainian periodical founded by the Initiative to Contribute to Ecology-and-Economics Integration (ICEEI). It is edited by a team of young researchers, and is supported scientifically and methodically by the Ukrainian Association of the Club of Rome. The media is trilingual (Ukrainian, Russian and English), with articles published in their original languages within the same issue. Scope RE raises a wide range of current sustainability issues, including research in ecological economics, teaching relevant courses in institutions of higher education, and implementing ideas in practice. Contributions under the following topics are welcome: Philosophy of Sustainable Development; Tools for Environmental and Economic Investigations; Ecological and Social Adequacy in Managing an Enterprise; The Culture of Sustainable Consumption; Instruments of State Policy in Implementing Principles of Sustainability; Civic Initiatives for Prospective Social Reforms; Theory and Techniques of Education for Sustainable Development; Ukraine and the World’s Experience in Implementing the Sustainability Principles. Although we are highly appreciative of authors outside of Ukraine, we are still focusing mainly on Post-Soviet particulars, and thus favour findings of importance to a Ukrainian audience, e.g. comparative research and elaboration on applying the world's best practices towards greening economies in transition. Submissions Manuscripts are welcome from both seasoned and up-and-coming scholars (including graduates and post-graduates) of higher schools, policy makers of state and local authorities, and managers of private enterprises. We invite proposals from both individuals and research panels. Submission standards are flexible. Editors seek full-length manuscripts, from 20,000 to 40,000 characters, meeting all stylistic requirements for scientific papers. Though classical problem-oriented research and analysis papers are preferred, the structure may vary as long as it is appropriate to the genre selected. The UDC code for the articles and their abstracts, preceding the main text and up to 150 words, are strongly encouraged. The references section following the main text, clarifying the authorship of all citations and opinions referred to, is obligatory. The papers sent must be accompanied by the author(s)’s information, e.g. name and surname, professional affiliation, email and postal address. In addition, please state whether you wish your paper to be published in English, or to be translated into Ukrainian to target Slavic readers specifically. Dates and Contacts The first volume is expected to be issued in early September, 2009. The deadline for submitting manuscripts is June 5, 2009. We strongly encourage electronic submissions. Please send your papers either in doc or in ood format to: re_iceei@ukr.net, or via mail to the ICEEI office: 87a Vatutina str., apt. #8, Luhansk, 91040, Ukraine. We look forward to hearing from you! |
