LoGASN 2013 First Call for Papers ====================================================== The 2nd Workshop on Localization and Geographic Algorithms in Sensor Networks (LoGASN 2013) 19 - 21 February, 2013 - Barcelona, Spain www.sensornets.org/LoGASN.aspx This year in conjunction with the 2nd International Conference on Sensor Networks (SENSORNETS 2013) ====================================================== Deadlines: Paper Submission: December 5, 2012 Authors Notification: December 21, 2012 Final Paper Submission and Registration: January 4, 2013 ====================================================== Scope In the past ten years, localization and geographic algorithms in Sensor Networks have been a hot-topic in research. Part of the work focused on distributed filtering techniques to get accurate positions, range-free localization procedure, construction of virtual coordinates systems, geographic routing algorithms, and so on. Indeed, localization is a useful building block for many applications like geographic routing, region monitoring, or tracking algorithms. In many applications it is argued that localization simplifies the implementations of real systems and helps building efficient distributed algorithms. Particularly striking recent examples of researches in this area deal with Greedy routing algorithms. This workshop is the opportunity to gather scientists working on geographic systems, localization and geographic algorithms from the theoretical and practical point of views to present recent results and applications. Besides the presentation of new results one of the goals of this workshop is to ponder to which extent geographic information help in solving problems and whether these techniques are indeed practical. Topics of Interest • Geographic Information Systems (Algorithms) • Cooperative localization • Applications of spatial logics • Geographic routing • Greedy embeddings • Virtual coordinates systems • Applications of geographic localization • Implementation of geographic localization systems • Real experiments on geographic localization systems Paper Submission Prospective authors are invited to submit papers in any of the topics listed above. Instructions for preparing the manuscript (in Word and Latex formats) are available at: Paper Templates Please also check the Guidelines and Templates. Papers should be submitted electronically via the web-based submission system at: http://www.insticc.org/Primoris Publications All accepted papers will be published in the workshop proceedings book, under an ISBN reference and on CD-ROM support. All papers presented at the conference venue will be available at the SciTePress Digital Library (http://www.scitepress.org/DigitalLibrary/). SciTePress is member of CrossRef (http://www.crossref.org/ ).
