The Tunisian Association of Statistics and its Applications (TASA) invites research and industrial submissions on all topics related to statistics and data mining, including but not limited to those listed below :

Statistical analysis: Statistical inference, Multivariate analysis, Nonparametric statistics, Statistical learning, Simulation and computational
statistics, Statistical process control, Quantitative finance, Bayesian statistics, Exporatory data analysis.
Data mining: Data reduction and data pre-processing, Feature extraction and selection, Machine learning, Distributed data mining,
Clustering and classification, Ensemble methods, Query/constraint-based data mining, Parallel and high-performance data mining,
Post-processing and knowledge validation.
Applications: Bio-informatics and bio-statistics, Mining spatial and temporal data, Quality control, Supply chain management, Remote
sensing, Quantitative finance and insurance ,Parametric and non-parametric statistics, Economettics.

The main goal of the Fifth edition of the conference, MSDM 2014, is to start up a new tradition in order to establish strong synergies between statistical and data mining experts from academia and business communities.

The MSDM 2014 will be held on March 13-14 in the beautiful and unique setting of Djerba, Tunisia.

Paper Format and Electronic Submission
The submission of papers and the management of the paper reviewing process for the main conference will be entirely electronic. Detailed formatting and submission instructions for authors are available on the conference web site (http://tasa-online.com/msdm2014/?page=cyberchair).

Reviewing Criteria
Accepted papers must contain significant novel results. Results can be either theoretical or empirical. Results will be judged on the degree to which they have been objectively established and/or their potential for scientific and technological impact.
