Call For Papers

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
FP7 ProSense Special Session on Wireless Sensor Networks (ProSense 2009)
Warsaw, Poland, 17th September, 2009
co-located with
25th National Symposium of Telecommunications and Computer Networks

Host: Warsaw University of Technology, Poland

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) constitute a significant technology attracting research interests from various disciplines. From technical point of view WSNs combine distributed sensing, computation, storage, and multi hop communication. WSNs may potentially benefit a variety of commercial, industrial, scientific, and military applications. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Communication techniques and protocols
- Scalable architectures and programming models
- Energy and resource management
- In-network processing and data aggregation
- Distributed query processing and data storage
- Applications of wireless sensor networks
- Localization, time-synchronization and calibration
- Simulation tools, operating systems and middleware
- Collaborative signal processing
- Distributed control and actuation
- Security
- Cross-layer design and optimization

DATES

Manuscript Due: June 15, 2009
Acceptance Notification: July 15, 2009
Final Manuscript Due: August 1, 2009

PAPER SUBMISSION AND PUBLICATION

Authors are invited to prepare papers of no more than ten (10) pages in style presented on: http://www.kstit.pl/uploads/file/Format_referatu.pdf including results, figures, and references.

Submission page: http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=prosense2009

We encourage PhD students to submit papers describing their work to ProSense 2009. The paper should clearly formulate the research problem, detail the current solutions to this problem, explain why the existing work is not sufficient and why the proposed work is significant in the field of research, and give some indication of new solutions the student is proposing. The work does not need to be complete, and PhD students at all stages are welcome.

The session is correlated with FP7 Project Prosense (Promote, Mobilize, Reinforce and Integrate Wireless Sensor Networking Research and Researchers: Towards Pervasive Networking of WBC and the EU).
