Call For Papers

Following the success of the first 6 conferences, the 7th International Conference on Bio-Sensing Technology will be back in Europe and will continue to bring together leaders from industry and academia to exchange and share their experiences, present research results, explore collaborations and to spark new ideas, with the aim of developing new projects and exploiting new technology for bio-sensing applications.

Recent global events have highlighted the role that bio-sensing technologies have in shaping political decisions, bringing understanding to scientists and academics, and giving reassurance to members of the public. This, of course, relates to virus and antibody testing that has been so important in controlling the spread of COVID-19 infection. Despite this ongoing testing, there is the demand for faster, more sensitive and reliable testing technologies as seen in the numerous COVID-19 related funding calls. This demand not only applies to Corona virus detection but extends across all applications of bio-sensing technology such as other healthcare, agri-food, environmental and security applications.

Researchers across many disciplines are working hard to enhance bio-sensing technologies through development of new binding technologies, the application of new materials and the integration of new transducers and instrumentation. Data generated needs to be analysed, interpreted and securely transmitted to the end user and connectivity with the wider-world continues to be one of the important drivers of bios-sensing technology development.

This conference will provide a forum for accessing the most up-to-date developments in bio-sensing technology, sharing authoritative knowledge from both commercial and academic worlds, sharing best practice in the field as well as hearing about case studies of successfully integrated bio-sensing technologies.

Conference Topics
Oral and poster abstracts are now invited on the following topics and should be submitted using the online abstract submission system. Abstract Submission Deadline: 17 December 2021

The major areas of research, innovation and commercialisation in bio-sensing technology are reflected in the 5 themes of the conference. The scope and area of the invited talks in each theme is given below:

1. Novel biomarkers and bioreceptors

2. The biosensor surface and nanomaterials

3. Novel detection technologies

4. Modelling and instrumentation

5. The application of bio-sensing technology in the real world
