Call for Papers 13th IEEE International Conference on Advanced and Trusted Computing ATC'2016 Track on Cryptocurrencies and Blockchain based Systems http://www.deic.uab.cat/~jherrera/fitxers/CFP-CCBBS-2016.pdf July 18-21, 2016, Toulouse, France ________________________________________________________________ Aims and Scope of the track: Since the appearance of bitcoin in 2009, a plethora of new cryptocurrencies and other blockchain based systems have been deployed with different success rates. While some of them are slightly different copies of Bitcoin, other ones propose interesting improvements or new usages of the underlying blockchain technology. However, the novelty of such technologies is often tied with rapid developments and proof-of-concept software, and few rigorous scientific analysis of the proposed systems can be found. To revert such intertia, this track aims to provide a forum for researchers in this area to carefully analyze current systems or propose new ones in order to create a scientific background for a solid development of new cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology systems. The main topics include (but are not limited to): • Anonymity and privacy in cryptocurrencies • Cryptocurrency based trust systems • Security analysis of existing cryptocurrencies • Formal threat models in cryptocurrency systems • Improvement proposals for existing cryptocurrencies • P2P network cryptocurrencies analysis • Private transactions in blockchain based systems • Problem based mining for cryptocurrencies, like PrimeCoin • Mining mechanisms: proof-of-work, proof of stake, proof of burn, ... • New usages of the blockchain technology • Scalability solutions for blockchain systems • Smart contracts • Blockchain-based Business Models ________________________________________________________________ Important Dates: Submission Deadline: March 25, 2016 Author Notification: May 6, 2016 Final Manuscript: May 20, 2016 Conference Dates: July 18-21, 2016 ________________________________________________________________ PC Track members: Elli Androulaki - Zurich IBM Research Rainer Böehme - Universität Innsbruck Dan Boneh - Stanford University Ghassan Karame – NEC Research Jeremy Clark - Concordia University Christian Decker - ETH Zurich Ittay Eyal – Cornell University Jordi Herrera-Joancomartí - UAB Stefan Katzenbeisser - TU Darmstadt Andrew Miller - University of Maryland Cristina Pérez-Solà – UAB Markus Weinberger - Bosch IoT Lab – U.
