WUSPE 2013
Wireless Communications and User centered Services in Pervasive Environments 2013 Introduction The international workshop on Wireless communications and User centered Services in Pervasive Environments will focus on new methods and technologies for the design of pervasive spaces, from small to large scale. It is more common to say that pervasive environments are the next stage in Information Technology. It is seen as the next logical step in the evolution towards global networks of sensors and actuators, enabling new applications and providing new opportunities. The intensive use of pervasive devices as smartphones, mobiles phones, small notebook or other connected and communicating objects will accelerate the development of such spaces. Pervasive computing relies on the convergence of wireless technologies, advanced electronics, computer sciences and the Internet. The goal of researchers working in pervasive computing is to create smart products that communicate unobtrusively. However, due to the proactive and complex dynamics of pervasive computing applications, it is important that these systems should put end-users at the center of control loop by empowering them to better co-ordinate, control, and personalize pervasive systems, with the ultimate goal to provide better services. The 2013 edition will be jointly organized by the International Research Institute MICA, Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), the French INRIA project team "E-Motion", and by the French research laboratory IMEP-LAHC. The conference will be held in Ha Noi, Viet Nam on September 19-20, 2013. |
