--------- FIRST CALL FOR PAPERS --------- -------------------------------------------------------------------- 6th IFIP WG 8.1 Working Conference on The Practice of Enterprise Modeling (PoEM) November 6-7, 2013 RIGA, LATVIA http://poem2013.rtu.lv -------------------------------------------------------------------- PoEM 2013 is the 6th IFIP WG 8.1 working conference on the Practice of Enterprise Modeling. It aims at improving the understanding of the practice of Enterprise Modelling (EM) by offering a forum for sharing experiences and knowledge between the academic community and practitioners from industry and the public sector. The conference proceedings are published by Springer Lecture Notes in Business Information Processing. -------------------------------------------------------------------- TYPES OF PAPERS Research papers describe original research contributions to the area of EM. Experience papers present problems or challenges encountered in practice, relate success and failure stories, or report on industrial cases and practices. Practitioner papers may address any aspect of EM or enterprise architectures relevant from a practitioners point of view. These papers have a specific review procedure. Short papers can be used to present work in progress and emerging EM challenges. That includes presentation of ongoing thesis or research work by PhD or Master students. -------------------------------------------------------------------- TOPICS Topics relevant for submission, but are not limited to, are: * Enterprise modelling theory * Enterprise modelling practice and case studies * Enterprise modelling tools * Agile enterprise modelling * Enterprise modelling for information systems development * Knowledge management and enterprise modelling * Quality, validation, and quantitative analysis of enterprise models -------------------------------------------------------------------- IMPORTANT DATES Paper submission deadline - June 30 Notification of acceptance - August 16 camera-ready version due - August 23 PoEM conference - November 6-7 -------------------------------------------------------------------- SUBMISSION GUIDELINES AND PUBLICATION Accepted experience papers and research papers will be published in Springer Lecture Notes in Business Information Processing (LNBIP, indexed in ISI Proceedings, DBLP, EI and Scopus). Short papers and practitioner papers will be published in the CEUR workshop proceedings series. Papers have to be submitted in PDF or DOC format using the EasyChair submission page. All submissions must be unpublished and not be under review elsewhere. Submissions must conform to Springer's LNBIP format. Page limit for experience and research papers is 15 pages, short papers and practitioner papers should not exceed 10 pages. At least one author of the accepted paper should register for the conference and present the paper.
