Scope & Topics

1st International workshop on Wireless, Mobile Networks & Consumer Applications will provide an excellent international
forum for sharing knowledge and results in theory, methodology and applications of Wireless & Mobile network Applications.
Current information age is witnessing a dramatic use of wireless and mobile devices in the workplace and beyond. A Wireless
& Mobile service has received a significant and sustained research interest in terms of designing and deploying large scale
and high performance computational applications in real life. The aim of the workshop is to provide a platform to the
researchers and practitioners from both academia as well as industry to meet and share cutting-edge development in the field.

Topic of Interest

Authors are solicited to contribute to the workshop by submitting articles that illustrate research results, projects,
surveying works and industrial experiences that describe significant advances in the following areas, but are not limited
to
• Algorithms and modeling for tracking and locating mobile users
• Applications of wearable systems in consumers & industrial environment
• Architectures, protocols, and algorithms to cope with mobile & wireless Networks

• Resource management in mobile, wireless and ad-hoc networks
• Routing, and communication primitives in ad hoc and sensor networks

• Service creation and management environments for mobile/wireless systems
• Synchronization and scheduling issues in mobile and ad hoc networks
• Wireless & Mobile Issues related to OS
• wireless multimedia systems & Applications


Paper submission

Authors are invited to submit papers for the workshop through email (wimap2009@yahoo.com or wimap@airccse.org )by June 20, 2009 (for more details visit www.airccse.org/wimap/papersub.html ) . Submissions must be original and should not have been published previously or be under consideration for publication while being evaluated for this workshop.
The workshop proceedings will be published by LNCS/CCIS (indexed by EI, ISTP and so on), Springer Verlag series along with the main conference proceedings (CAN 2009). Selected papers from, after further revisions, will be published in an international journal.

Important Dates

Paper Submission Deadline: June 20, 2009 (+2.00 GMT)
Acceptance Notification: August 20, 2009
Camera Ready Submission and Registration Due: August 30, 2009

All accepted papers will be included in the conference proceeding published LNCS/CCIS (indexed by EI, ISTP and so on), Springer Verlag.
