The IEEE ICIA 2012 Conference will be held from June 6 to 8, 2012 in Shenyang, China.
The theme of the conference is “Smart Fusion of Information and Automation”, reflecting the ever growing interests in the research areas and application fileds of information and automation. As the largest city in the northeast of China, Shenyang is the capital as well as political, economical and cultural center of Liaoning Province. Shenyang is an important industrial base and a famous historical city. Giving birth to the Qing Dynasty, Shenyang has one of China's two best preserved imperial palace complexes. The imperial palace and the two imperial tombs are listed by UNESCO as World Heritage Sites. The later 20th century saw Shenyang develop as a major industrial centre. Today the city is rapidly modernising with large scale construction throughout the city. The IEEE ICIA 2012 conference promises to be a great experience for researchers and scholars in the broad areas of information and automation from all over the world, with excellent technical and social programs. The IEEE ICIA 2012 conference invites high quality papers reporting original research outcomes and innovations in all areas of information and automation. Contributed Papers: Papers are solicited in all areas of information and automation science and engineering. All papers must be submitted in PDF format prepared strictly following the IEEE PDF Requirements for Creating PDF Documents for IEEE Xplore®. The standard number of pages is 6 and the maximum page limit is 8 pages with extra charge for the 2 extra pages beyond the 6 pages. Visit the website for more information. All papers accepted by ICIA 2012 will be indexed by EI and included in IEEE Xplore®. Organized Sessions: Organized sessions provide a forum for focused discussions on new topics and innovative applications of established approaches. A proposal for an organized session of five related papers, with the session title, the organizers, and a brief statement of purpose shall be submitted via email to the Secretariat by the deadline. Best Paper Competition: All submitted papers will be automatically considered and evaluated by the conference for the following conference best paper competitions: - Best Conference Paper Award - Best Conference Paper in Automation Award - Best Conference Paper in Information Award - Best Student Paper Award The best paper finalists will be invited to publish their revised papers in the IEEE ICIA special issues of related leading international journals.
