Call For Papers

The 9th International Conference on Robotics, Vision, Signal Processing & Power Applications (ROVISP) is organized by School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia. ROVISP 2016 welcomes researchers, scientists, engineers, academicians as well as industrial professionals from all around the globe to present their research results and development activities for oral or poster presentations.

ROVISP 2016 will cover a broad spectrum of research areas of common interest and will pay particular attention to the industrial needs. Papers describing original work in, but not limited to, the following areas will be considered for oral presentation. The topics of interest are as follows but are not limited to:


Robotics, Control, Mechatronics and Automation
Vision, Image, and Signal Processing
Artificial Intelligence and Computer Applications
Electronic Design and Applications
Biomedical, BioEngineering and Applications
Telecommunications, RF, Antenna and Applications

The venue
Penang Island, popularly known as the Pearl of the Orient is located on the western coast of Peninsular Malaysia.It is connected to the mainland by the Penang Bridge, one of the longest bridges in the world. Whilst embracing modernity by being the top 3 most developed and industrialized states in Malaysia, Penang still retains its traditions and old charms. Georgetown, the capital of Penang, a UNESCO World Heritage site holds some of the oldest and historically significant structures. It is also renowned for its diverse culinary delights and many beautiful beaches.
