The teaching of mother and foreign languages (or second languages) has varied methodologically over the years. However, its use is related to theoretical and practical changing paradigms. For example, while for years their teaching has focused on cognitivism, current theories focus on the Interaction Theory. Take, for example, Lantolf and his Dynamic Assessment, Hall and the Interactional Development, Ortega, Larsen-Freeman and the Systems Theory, among others. In this perspective, it is necessary to disclose experiences that show this evolution.

Therefore, the aim of this special volume of @tic. revista d'innovació educativa is convening educational theorists and researchers, as well as in other disciplines, to present papers focusing on actions of technologies at work on language arts (maternal and / or additional). It is not only on didactic aspects, but rather of visions, educational models and practices with technology in education.
