Call For Papers

Since the seminal work by Alhswede et al, which showed that the multicast capacity of a network can be achieved by allowing intermediate nodes to code packets instead of just forwarding or replicating them, network coding has come a long way from an information theoretic concept and has begun its transition into more practical applications and implementations. A variety of initiatives showing the potential of network coding to peer-to-peer systems, distributed storage, multimedia applications, and robust networking (amongst many others) have been reported. The 2014 International Symposium on Network Coding (NetCod 2014) aims to bring together members of the network coding community from both academia and industry, and to provide a forum for an in-depth coverage of the research developments and practical advances of network coding up to date.
Previously unpublished contributions from a broad range of topics are solicited, including (but not limited to) the following areas:

Shannon theory and the fundamentals of network coding

Network code constructions and algorithms

Joint source/channel and network coding
