PROFES, the International Conference on Product-Focused Software Process Improvement, is among the top recognised software development and process improvement conferences. PROFES organisation is composed of local and international recognised researchers in software engineering.
The objective of the PROFES is to provide a premier forum for practitioners, researchers, and educators to present and discuss experiences, ideas, innovations, as well as concerns related to professional software process improvement motivated by product and service quality needs. PROFES 2017 has explicitly committed itself to take the first step in fostering open science in our community as a key to increase the accessibility, reproducibility, and replicability of our research outcomes. ------------------------- Submissions ------------------------- We invite submissions of - full papers (16 pages) - short papers (8 pages) - workshop papers & tutorials (12 pages) - posters and tool demos (4 pages) related to all the topics of interest of the conference. The conference further explicitly encourages submissions of evidencebased research papers ranging from controlled experiments to case studies and from quantitative to qualitative studies. Workshop/Tutorial Proposals - Submission: March 31, 2017 - Notification: April 7, 2017 Short Papers, Tools, Demos, and Posters - Submission: August 4, 2017 - Notification: August 22, 2017 Workshop Papers Submission details will be announced on the website after the notification of the workshop proposals. ------------------------- Open Science Practices ------------------------- PROFES 2017 has explicitly committed itself as the first conference in our field to take the first step in fostering open science in our community as a key to increase the accessibility, reproducibility, and replicability of our research outcomes.
