International Workshop on Inter-cloud, Cloud Federation, Cloud Interoperability and Cloud Portability – In conjunction with ISBCC ’17 on 9th March, 2017, VIT University, Chennai, India
Currently, Cloud Computing is in active rapid development state in a highly competitive environment. A number of software companies are competing with each other to win the race. Recent trends indicate standardization of cloud platform and application development. However, software companies are interested to win the race rather than to adhere to any standard. As the cloud service users increase, cloud service providers may get saturated as they do not have infinite amount of resources. At some point of time, multiple cloud service providers need to join hands to satisfy the requirements of their customers. In such situation, Intercloud becomes a boon to the cloud provider. According to Kevin Kelly, Intercloud is nothing but “the cloud of clouds”. This workshop aims at providing a forum to bring together researchers for sharing and exchanging technologies, experience, and lessons learned from building Intercloud, Cloud Federation, and Interoperability and Portability capabilities and services in Cloud Computing. The Workshop topics include (but are not limited to) the following: 1. Theory, frameworks, methodologies, architecture for Intercloud, Cloud Federations, Interoperability and Portability 2. Trust, Security, Identity for Intercloud, Cloud Federations, and Interoperability 3. Theory and experimental results of SDN used for cloud oriented network infrastructure, federations, and interoperability 4. Semantic Resource Description and Definitions for Clouds Resources and Management 5. Cloud Federation governance and regulatory issues 6. Scheduling and load balancing across Federated and Interoperable Clouds 7. QoS/SLA in Federated and Interoperable Clouds 8. Testbeds for Intercloud, Cloud Federations, Interoperability and Portability 9. Application developed on Intercloud and Cloud Federations PAPER SUBMISSIONS Manuscripts should be prepared in 10-point font single-column format. There is no limit on the number of pages as of now. However, the exact format and page limits shall be informed during the final camera ready paper preparation. All submissions will be reviewed using a double-blind review process. The identity of authors and referees will not be revealed to each other. To ensure a blind review, the authors' names and affiliations should not appear in the; bibliographic references should be made in a way that preserves author anonymity; acknowledgments and support information should not be included. In case there is a need to refer to a technical report that includes, for example, proofs, an anonymous link should be provided (for example, using Dropbox). Submit the Title Page containing the Authors details and Blinded Manuscript with no author details as 2 separate word files. A paper submitted to this workshop cannot be under review for any other conference or journal during the entire time it is considered for the workshop, and it must be substantially different from any previously published work. All submissions are peer-reviewed. Papers will be selected based on their originality, relevance, technical clarity and presentation. Authors of accepted papers must guarantee that their papers will be registered and presented at the workshop. If you have any questions about paper submission or the workshop, please contact the organizers. Paper submission link shall be updated in the workshop website shortly. IMPORTANT DATES Paper Submissions: August 31, 2016 Acceptance Notification: October 31, 2016 Camera Ready Papers and Registration Due: November 15, 2016 Workshop Date: March 9, 2017 PUBLICATION Accepted and presented papers will be published along with Conference Proceedings which are eligible for publication in Springer CCIS series. CCIS series is abstracted (indexed) by DBLP, EI, Scopus and it is submitted for the inclusion in ISI Proceedings and Inspec. Thus, the papers are available in Web of Knowledge (Web of Science) database.
