Bridging the gap between product development and series production, production ramp-up characterizes the phase where the success of a launch of new products and processes is decided. Hence, the management of ramp-up process is vital to the success for producing companies. Advanced methods, concepts and policies are required when its comes to the decision about new product launches, re-launches, and changes, the supervision of the work item integration from product, process development, and suppliers and escalation actions due to external or internal disturbances and organizational dynamics.

The 2nd International Conference on Ramp-Up Management will take place within the newly built logistics research cluster of the RWTH University in Aachen, Germany and will offer a special opportunity for the exchange of research results and experiences.
