The International Conference on Computational & Mathematical Biomedical Engineering (CMBE) aims at bringing together fellow researchers and academics, specialists of several disciplines, practitioners and graduate students with a common interest, to discuss the current state of the art of Computational Biomedical Engineering research.
The TOPICS to be covered include, but are not limited to: *Cardiovascular problems *Respiratory systems *Biofluid Mechanics *Soft tissue, constitutive modelling *Experimental validation *Numerical methods, parallel computing and HPC *Multiscale modelling *Analytical approaches *Biological heat and mass transfer *Biology and its links to diseases *Biomechanics and Oncology *Clinical relevance *Medical Imaging and image processing *Uncertainty quantification *Biomedical engineering and devices CALL FOR PAPERS Submission Abstracts must be prepared as a PDF file using the template provided for electronic submission via the Conference website at http://www.compbiomed.net/2013/abstract-submission-%28general%29.htm. Final deadline for submission of papers is 30 August 2013. Review Please also refer to the CMBE Publishing Policy at http://www.compbiomed.net/2013/publishing-policy.htm. All papers submitted will be peer reviewed by members of the International Committee and related technical committees. The conference chair and permanent editorial board reserves the right of final decision on acceptance or rejection of the paper. Acceptance and Registration Notification of acceptance will be sent via email after 31 August 2013. Please note that the final acceptance of papers for presentation is conditional on one of the authors registering on or before 30 September 2013. Late registration fees or paper submissions will result in the papers being excluded from the conference proceedings. See the website for important dates. PUBLICATION Accepted papers will be published in the book of proceedings in print (ISSN 2227-3085) and in online (ISSN 2227-9385) format. Authors of high quality papers will be invited to submit full length papers to a special issue of the Wiley journal ‘International Journal for Numerical Methods in Biomedical Engineering’. CMBE13 For information on venue and travel please consult the conference website.
