CALL FOR PAPERS
----------------------------------------------- It is our pleasure to invite you to submit an abstract for consideration as a poster or oral presentation in a standard session, or in one of the 20 dedicated sessions (mini symposia), please consult http://www.compbiomed.net/2015/cmbe15-sessions.htm The conference committee will consider abstracts addressing topics of substantial current interest, in accordance with the scope of the conference. The abstract must present original, unpublished work, and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. SUBMISSION ----------------------------------------------- Abstracts must be prepared as a PDF file using the template provided for electronic submission. Templates and instructions are available at http://www.compbiomed.net/2015/abstract-submission-(general).htm. Final deadline for submission of papers has been extended to 07 March 2015. REVIEW ----------------------------------------------- CMBE operates a single-blind peer review process, where papers are reviewed by members of the committees and session (mini symposia) organisers. Please also refer to CMBE Publishing Policy. REGISTRATION ----------------------------------------------- Unless otherwise stated, submissions are limited to ONE paper per registered participant (first or presenting author). Registrants can however be co-authors on several papers. PUBLICATION ----------------------------------------------- All accepted contributions which are submitted by the camera-ready submission deadline will be published in the CMBE proceedings in print (ISSN 2227-3085) and in online (ISSN 2227-9385) format. Authors will be invited to submit full length papers to a special issue of the Wiley journal ‘International Journal for Numerical Methods in Biomedical Engineering’. CMBE15 BEST PhD AWARD IN BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING ----------------------------------------------- The award consist of a registration fee waiver and travel grant of €500. For more information consult the conference website. CMBE15 ----------------------------------------------- For information on venue and travel please consult the conference website. The THEMES of the conference are broad-ranging, with coverage of more theoretical or fundamental aspects, as well as implementation of new methodologies, assessment, verification/validation and varied applications in all (and not limited to) the TOPICS listed below: *Cardiovascular problems, cardiac electromechanics *Complex biological phenomena, blood rheology, etc. *Multiscale/multiphysics biomedical/biological modelling *Biofluid mechanics, biomechanics *Soft tissue, constitutive modelling *Mechanobiology *Respiratory systems *Predictive modelling, computational surgery *Numerical methods, high performance computing applied to biomedical computational modelling and systems biology *Imaging and image processing (medical image segmentation, registration, etc.) *Inverse problems, uncertainty quantification in biomedical problems *Biomedical/cardiovascular devices, orthopaedic prosthesis design/modelling *Biological heat and mass transfer *Analytical/fundamental approaches *Biology and its links to diseases *Modelling in oncology *Experimental validation *Clinical relevance, translational issues INVITED SPEAKERS ----------------------------------------------- * Ajit P.
