Call For Papers | |||||||||||||||
The International Conference on Software Maintenance provides an international forum for researchers, developers, and users interested in the latest techniques, tools, and methodologies that support software maintenance. Participants include both practitioners and researchers from industry, academia, and government.
In 2010, ICSM will be hosted by the Politehnica University of Timișoara. All ICSM sessions and co-located events will take place in the buildings of the Faculty of Automation and Computer Engineering, located close to the historical center of Timișoara (only 7 min. walk), and guarded by a chain of beautiful parks as well as by the Bega channel. We look forward to your numerous submissions and we are certain that the ICSM 2010 week will contain an exciting program, both due to the presentations in all the ICSM tracks, but also thanks to the inspiring co-located conferences and workshops. ICSM 2010 will also have a rich social program. In addition to the Official Reception and Banquet, there will be an additional event, free and open to all ICSM participants, namely a Wine Tasting tour at the award-winning Recaș Vineyards. We invite high quality English-language submissions to the following conference tracks. All accepted papers will be published in the ICSM proceedings. For specific questions on a particular track, please contact the appropriate chairs (see below). For general questions on the scientific program, please contact the Program Chairs. Research Track Submission deadline: April 16, 2010 (Abstract: April 12) Chairs: Michele Lanza and Andrian Marcus Research papers should describe original and significant work in the research and practice of software maintenance and evolution. Case studies, empirical research, and experiments are particularly welcome. We also welcome papers that present leading-edge ideas in maintenance. Papers must not have been previously accepted for publication nor concurrently submitted for review in another journal, book, or conference. Industrial Track Submission deadline: May 17, 2010 (tentative) Chairs: Tibor Gyimóthy and Árpád Beszédes We invite proposals for presentations of industrial applications and practices. These proposals can include state-of-the-art descriptions, state-of-the-practice reports, and survey papers from real-world projects and industrial experience. Doctoral Symposium Submission deadline: May 17, 2010 (tentative) Chairs: Hausi Müller and Oscar Nierstrasz ICSM 2010 features a double doctoral symposium. One symposium is dedicated to submissions of researchers that have delivered their Ph.D. dissertations in the area of software maintenance and evolution in the past two years, and another symposium is dedicated exclusively to Ph.D. students who are in the midst of their doctoral studies in the field of software maintenance. Tool Demos Submission deadline: June 28, 2010 (tentative) Chairs: Tudor Gîrba and Yann-Gaël Guéhéneuc We invite proposals for tool demonstrations on any topic related to software maintenance and evolution. Demonstrations will be held in an open session to allow individual interaction with the participants. Early Research Achievements (ERA) Track Submission deadline: June 28, 2010 (tentative) Chairs: Rudolf Ferenc and Denys Poshyvanyk In this track we invite reports on early research work (i.e., incipient ideas that are highly interesting, though still lacking substantial results). Participants will have the opportunity to present a summary of their work in form of a (short) paper and of a poster. |
