Call for Papers: Hot Topics Session

In addition to regular papers track, DIDC 2014 is soliciting papers for a special Hot Topics session.

Hot Topics papers are expected to discuss current trends and upcoming challenges in data-intensive distributed computing. Authors will be given short presentation slots during the workshop. Submissions should come with initial results or observations supporting the presented approach or current challenges. An ideal paper should initiate a lively discussion based on clearly stated arguments, orthogonal approaches, original ideas, or future problems in data-intensive distributed computing.

Submission Guidelines:

Hot Topics papers should be formatted in the same way as a regular submission with a maximum of five (5) pages. All submission will be evaluated based on the quality of presentation and the novelty of the given idea or approach.

Submitted papers may not have appeared in or be under consideration for another workshop, conference or a journal, nor may they be under review or submitted to another forum during the DIDC 2014 review process.

Hot Topics papers will be included the DIDC 2014 proceedings as a separate track and will be published by ACM, and will be available through the ACM Digital Library.

Papers should be prepared in ACM SIG Proceedings format at http://www.acm.org/sigs/publications/proceedings-templates and submitted electronically (as a PDF file) via EasyChair.

Please select Hot Topics track.
