* ICCS 2016 * International Conference on Computational Science * San Diego, California, U.S.A. * June 6-8, 2016 * http://www.iccs-meeting.org/iccs2016/ ****************************************************** ---------------------------------- News: ---------------------------------- [1] Main Track submission deadline extended to January 15. Please submit a short abstract now to indicate your interest https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=iccs20160 [2] 29 thematic workshops may have different deadlines, but they normally keep submission open as long as the Main Track does. For details, check the workshop webpages or contact workshop organizers http://www.iccs-meeting.org/iccs2016/registered-workshops [3] In addition to the Full Paper submission, we offer a Presentation Only option (a short abstract is published in a book of abstracts, but not in proceedings). You may also go for a Poster presentation, with or without a full paper. These options are available in the EasyChair submission webpage https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=iccs20160 [4] Please forward the call to your colleagues or tack a poster to your door http://www.iccs-meeting.org/iccs2016/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/Web_CfP_2016-Extension.pdf ---------------------------------- Call for papers ---------------------------------- Authors are invited to submit manuscripts reporting original unpublished research and recent developments in Computational Sciences. All accepted papers will be published in the open-access Procedia Computer Science (http://www.journals.elsevier.com/procedia-computer-science) and indexed by Scopus, ScienceDirect and Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation (former ISI Proceedings) – an integrated index within Web of Science. After the conference, selected papers will be invited for a special issue of the Journal of Computational Science (Impact Factor: 1.231, 5-Year Impact Factor: 1.760 http://www.journals.elsevier.com/journal-of-computational-science). The ICCS conference is the prime annual event in Computational Science. This interdisciplinary conference on modelling and simulation of real-world phenomena will draw academic and industry leaders from all relevant fields. ICCS intends to provide a forum to disseminate world-leading research in the field of (scientific) Computational Science and in particular to highlight the role which modelling and simulation plays in future scientific discovery. As the conference theme this year is “Data through the Computational Lens”, workshops with an interdisciplinary focus that highlight the relationship between data, modelling and computational science at large will be particularly welcome. ICCS 2016 invites original contributions on all topics related to Computational Science, including, but not limited to: * Scientific Computing * Problem Solving Environments * Advanced Numerical Algorithms * Complex Systems: Modelling and Simulation * Hybrid Computational Methods * Web- and Grid-based Simulation and Computing * Parallel and Distributed Computing * Advanced Computing Architectures and New Programming Models * Visualization and Virtual Reality as Applied to Computational Science * Applications of Computation as a Scientific Paradigm * New Algorithmic Approaches to Computational Kernels and Applications * Computational Humanities * Education in Computational Science * Large Scale Scientific Instruments * Computational Sociology * Medical and Biomedical Computational Science In addition, 29 thematic workshops are organized: http://www.iccs-meeting.org/iccs2016/registered-workshops ICCS is an ERA 2010 A-ranked conference series. For further details please visit http://www.iccs-meeting.org/iccs2016/ ---------------------------------- Papers: ---------------------------------- Papers of up to 10 pages, written in English and complying with the Procedia-Easychair format, should be submitted electronically through the ICCS-Easychair submission system https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=iccs20160 Templates are available for download in the Easychair right-hand-side menu in a "New submission" mode. Submission implies the willingness of at least one of the authors to register and present the paper. Papers must be based on unpublished original work and must be submitted to ICCS only. ---------------------------------- Important dates: ---------------------------------- Paper submission deadline: January 15, 2015 Author registration deadline: March 4, 2016 Conference sessions: June 6-8, 2016 ---------------------------------- Keynote Speakers: ---------------------------------- Slawomir Koziel, Reykjavik University, Iceland Rommie Amaro, University of California, USA Jackie Chen, Sandia National Laboratories, USA Sauro Succi, Istituto per le Applicazioni del Calcolo “Mauro Picone” (C.N.R.) and University of Roma, Italy and Harvard University, USA ---------------------------------- Conference Organizers: ---------------------------------- Local Organizers: Ilkay Altintas and Michael Norman, San Diego Supercomputer Center, UC San Diego, USA Local Organising Committee Susan Rathbun and Cindy Wong, San Diego Supercomputer Center, UC San Diego, USA Workshop Chair: Michael Lees, University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands Publicity Chair: Valeria Krzhizhanovskaya, University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands; St. Petersburg Polytechnic University and ITMO University, Russia Scientific Co-chair: Jack Dongarra, University of Tennessee, USA Scientific Chair: Peter Sloot, University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands; Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and ITMO University, Russia ---------------------------------- |
