Call For Papers | |||||||||||||||
Dear Colleagues,
The 21st International Conference on Computational Science (ICCS) will be taking place in the beautiful city of Krakow, Poland, on 16-18 June 2021. We are working diligently to make this a very special event. Have a look at some ICCS quick facts: ---------------------------------- ICCS Quick Facts: ---------------------------------- [1] Submission deadline extended to 12 February 2021. This will be the final deadline extension for this year. Submit your paper now at: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=iccs2021 [2] ICCS 2021 and COVID-19: ICCS 2021 will happen in either fully virtual or hybrid (virtual and in-person) mode. Regardless of the format ICCS eventually operates in, all ICCS participants will have the option to present and attend online. The decision on the final format of the event will be announced soon. [3] ICCS proceedings will be published in Springer's LNCS and indexed by Scopus, EI Engineering Index, Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index (included in ISI Web of Science), and several other indices. [4] 25 thematic tracks featured, covering a broad variety of topics: https://www.iccs-meeting.org/iccs2021/thematic-tracks/ [5] Three keynote speakers already confirmed, with more names on the way: https://www.iccs-meeting.org/iccs2021/keynote-lectures/ - Maciej Besta, ETH Zürich, Switzerland - Marian Bubak, AGH University of Science and Technology, Poland | Sano Centre for Computational Medicine, Poland - Marco Viceconti, University of Bologna, Italy Please read below for all the details. We will be thankful if you forward this call to your colleagues. ****************************************************** * ICCS 2021 * International Conference on Computational Science * Krakow, Poland, 16-18 June 2021 * http://www.iccs-meeting.org/iccs2021/ ****************************************************** ---------------------------------- Call for papers ---------------------------------- The International Conference on Computational Science - ICCS 2021 - is now inviting submissions reporting original, unpublished research and recent developments in Computational Sciences by 12 February 2021. This deadline is final. https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=iccs2021 All accepted papers will be included in the Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series and indexed by Scopus, EI Engineering Index, Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index (included in ISI Web of Science), and several other indexing services. The papers will contain linked references, XML versions and citable DOI numbers. After the conference, selected papers will be invited for a special issue of the Journal of Computational Science (Impact Factor: 2.644 http://www.journals.elsevier.com/journal-of-computational-science). The ICCS conference is the prime annual event in Computational Science. This interdisciplinary conference on modelling and simulation of real-world phenomena will draw academic and industry leaders from all relevant fields. ICCS intends to provide a forum to disseminate world-leading research in the field of (scientific) Computational Science and in particular to highlight the role which modelling and simulation plays in future scientific discovery. ICCS 2021 invites original contributions on all topics related to Computational Science, including, but not limited to: * Scientific Computing * Problem Solving Environments * Advanced Numerical Algorithms * Complex Systems: Modeling and Simulation * Hybrid Computational Methods * Web- and Grid-based Simulation and Computing * Parallel and Distributed Computing * Advanced Computing Architectures and New Programming Models * Visualization and Virtual Reality as Applied to Computational Science * Applications of Computation as a Scientific Paradigm * New Algorithmic Approaches to Computational Kernels and Applications * Computational Humanities * Education in Computational Science * Large Scale Scientific Instruments * Computational Sociology * Medical and Biomedical Computational Science * Computational Physics * Quantum Computing * Uncertainty Quantification * Artificial Intelligence in Scientific Computing ICCS is an A-rank conference in the CORE classification. For further details please visit http://www.iccs-meeting.org/iccs2021/ ---------------------------------- Paper Types and Publications ---------------------------------- Papers of up to 14 pages, written in English and complying with the Springer LNCS format, should be submitted electronically through the EasyChair submission system: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=iccs2021 Templates are available for download in the EasyChair menu, in the "New submission" mode. You are welcome to participate in one of the thematic tracks or in the Main Track (if your topic does not fit any particular thematic track but still falls within the scope of the conference). During submission, you may select either a "Full/Short Paper" or an "Abstract Only" publication. By default, it will be an oral presentation. If you prefer to present a poster, please check the "Poster Presentation" option in the submission page. While we encourage full paper submissions, the "Abstract Only" option caters to researchers who can only publish in specific journals or work for companies in circumstances such that they cannot publish at all, but still want to present their work and discuss it with their peers at ICCS. In the "Abstract Only" option, a short abstract is published in a book of abstracts, but not in the LNCS conference proceedings. Submission implies the willingness of at least one of the authors to register and present the paper. Papers must be based on unpublished original work and must be submitted to ICCS only. ---------------------------------- Important Dates ---------------------------------- Paper submission deadline: 12 February 2021 Notification of acceptance: 15 March 2021 Camera-ready papers and registration: 5 April 2021 ---------------------------------- Keynote Speakers ---------------------------------- ICCS is well-known for its exciting keynote lectures. Three speakers are already confirmed: - Maciej Besta, ETH Zürich, Switzerland - Marian Bubak, AGH University of Science and Technology, Poland | Sano Centre for Computational Medicine, Poland - Marco Viceconti, University of Bologna, Italy https://www.iccs-meeting.org/iccs2021/keynote-lectures/ ---------------------------------- Registered Tracks ---------------------------------- 25 tracks are now registered, encompassing the many facets of computational science: https://www.iccs-meeting.org/iccs2021/thematic-tracks/ ---------------------------------- Conference Organizers ---------------------------------- Scientific Chair: Peter M.A. Sloot (University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands | Complexity Institute NTU, Singapore) Scientific Co-Chair: Jack Dongarra (University of Tennessee, USA) Main Track Program Chair: Maciej Paszynski (AGH University of Science and Technology, Poland) Main Track Program Chair: Dieter Kranzlmüller (Leibniz Supercomputing Center, Germany | Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, Germany) Publication and Publicity Chair: Valeria V.
