As a result, there is a growing interest in and growing importance of managing future data, information, and business management. In this special issue, we have a specific focus on methods, steps, prototypes, proofs-of-concept, conceptualization, data or statistical analysis, frameworks (software, conceptual or architectural) and recommendations related to future data, information and business management. As this subject requires an interdisciplinary approach, we welcome any unpublished and high-quality work suitable for this special issue, which can be technical or business-focused, or can have a balance of technical and business contributions. We also select top authors from the following four conferences IoTBDS 2021 http://www.iotbds.org/?y=2021, COMPLEXIS http://www.complexis.org/?y=2021, FEMIB 2021 http://www.femib.scitevents.org/?y=2021 and IIoTBDSC 2021 http://iiotbdsc.com/2021/. All papers will need to pass high-quality and vigorous review processes before getting acceptance. We welcome submissions from anyone, including those not taking part in those conferences. Potential topics include but are not limited to: Internet of Things Big Data or Data Science Security Supply Chain Social networks and linkage Complexity Science Risk Future Information Systems Accounting, Finance and Economics Management, Operations, Marketing and Service. Lead Guest Editor Prof. Victor Chang is a Full Professor of Data Science and Information Systems, School of Computing, Engineering and Digital Technologies, Teesside University, Middlesbrough, UK, since September 2019. He leads Artificial Intelligence and Information Systems Research Group at Teesside University. He was a Senior Associate Professor, Director of Ph.D. and MRes Programs at International Business School Suzhou (IBSS), Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), Suzhou, China. He joined XJTLU in June 2016. He is still a Visiting Researcher at the University of Southampton, UK. Previously he worked as a Senior Lecturer at Leeds Beckett University, UK, for 3.5 years. Within 4 years, he completed Ph.D. (CS, Southampton) and PGCert (Higher Education, Fellow, Greenwich) while working full time. Before becoming an academic, he has achieved 97% on average in 27 IT certifications. He won a European Award on Cloud Migration in 2011, IEEE Outstanding Service Award in 2015, best papers in 2012, 2015 and 2018, 2016 European award: Best Project in Research, 2016–2018 SEID Excellent Scholar, Suzhou, China, Outstanding Young Scientist 2017, 2017 special award on Data Science and 2017–2021 INSTICC Service Awards. He is in the top 2% of Scientists in 2017 and 2019 and the most productive AI-based Data Analytics Scientist between 2010 and 2019 and numerous awards since 2011. He is an Editor-in-Chief of IJOCI & OJBD journals, former Editor of FGCS, Editor of Information Fusion and Associate Editor of TII, and founding Conference Chair of IoTBDS http://www.iotbd.org, COMPLEXIS http://www.complexis.org, FEMIB http://femib.scitevents.org and IIoTBDSC http://iiotbdsc.com. He was involved in different projects worth more than £13 million in Europe and Asia. He has published 3 books as sole authors and the editor of 2 books on Cloud Computing and related technologies. He gave 29 keynotes at international conferences. Co-Guest Editors Prof Reinhold Behringer is working at Knorr Bremse GmbH on the development of autonomous truck systems since April 2019. He previously (7/2017-3/2019) has been employed by Daimler-Protics in the development of the latest Augmented Reality information system for the Mercedes S-Class. He is also a Visiting Professor at Leeds Beckett University, where he was a Professor of Creative Technology from 2005 to 2017. His R&D focus in this academic position was on prototyping applications for eLearning, location-based application development and mobile devices. He has two degrees in Physics (1988: MA, SUNY Buffalo, USA. 1990: Diplom in Physics, University Würzburg, Germany) and a Ph.D. in Engineering (1996: Dr.-Ing., UniBwM München, Germany). His main professional expertise is in autonomous road vehicles and real-time computer vision systems. He participated in the first US DARPA Grand Challenge (2004) and earlier in the development of the very first autonomous road vehicle driving on public roads in Germany (1995) on Autobahn at speeds of 130 km/h. For this vehicle, he has developed a real-time computer vision system for road/lane detection/following and ego-state estimation, based on recursive Kalman filtering. During his following work at Rockwell Scientific (Thousand Oaks, USA) (1996-2005), he has developed several prototype systems for Augmented Reality demonstrators and multi-modal Human-Computer Interaction demonstrations, which did employ real-time computer vision approaches for scene detection and motion/orientation tracking. In his current role at Knorr-Bremse GmbH, he is involved in the development of neural network concepts for utilizing data from various sensors to enable autonomously driving trucks in SAE level 4. He has a substantial publication record and is regularly active in reviewing research proposals for the European Commission and National Funding agencies of EU member states. Prof. Ben Shaw-Ching Liu is Professor of Marketing at School of Business, Quinnipiac University USA. He holds Ph.D. from State University of New York at Buffalo (1991), Master of Art in Religion from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School at Chicago (2003), and Bachelor of Science & Engineering from National Cheng-Kung University, Taiwan (1977). Before coming to USA for graduate studies, he worked in the industry including running his own business for 9 years. He was an Assistant Professor at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a Visiting Professor to Washington University in St. Louis, and an Associate Professor of Marketing at Butler University. He is a Visiting Professor to various MBA, EMBA programs in China, Denmark, Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan. His major research interest is in the areas of new product strategy, service marketing, internet marketing, hi-tech marketing, cross-cultural, negotiation, channel, and promotion. His research has been recognized in the international academic community with various awards and articles published in various journals such as Journal of Service Research, Journal of Service Marketing, Service Industry Journal, Industrial Marketing Management, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Journal of Product and Pricing, Journal of Marketing Theory & Practice, European Journal of Innovation Management, Internet Research, Journal of Internet Commerce, International Journal of Internet Marketing and Advertising, International Journal of Business Information Systems, International Journal of Business Research & Systems, Library Hi Tech, Managerial and Decision Economics etc., He was on the Editorial Boards of such journal as Journal of Service Research and has been an Elder, lay-minister and Board member in various churches and parachurches. |
