This conference brings together five international experts working in the philosophy of physics, in particular the metaphysical foundations of quantum mechanics. In addition to the five invited speakers, five more will be selected from those who submit proposals.

Proposals on any metaphysical issues arising from quantum mechanics are welcome. Early career researchers are particularly encouraged to submit.

If you wish to contribute a paper, please submit an abstract of up to 2,000 words (excluding bibliography) by email in a Word document attachment to power@philosophy.ox.ac.uk. The abstract needs to be accompanied by your name and affiliation, and contact details.

The deadline for receipt of abstracts is 31 of January 2014. Proposals will be assessed by an international board of advisors. Invited participants will be notified by 28 of February 2014.

Revised and extended versions of all papers presented to the conference will later be published in a special issue of Topoi, An International Review of Philosophy edited by Anna Marmodoro.

Authors of accepted papers will be offered B&B accommodation in Corpus Christi College, Oxford; and will be requested to seek financial support for the travel expenses from other institutions.
