Call for Book Chapters: "Computational Intelligence in Hydroinformatics: Current Trends and Open Problems" http://egyptscience.net/Hydroinformatics/ To be published by: Intelligent Systems Reference Library by Springer http://www.springer.com/series/8578 2014 Introduction: ====================== Hydroinformatics is a strongly new discipline that links water and environmental problems with various computational modeling techniques and communication technology to help in solving problems of hydraulics, hydrology and environmental engineering for better management of water-based systems. Main application areas are flood and river basin management, urban drainage and supply networks, estuaries and coastal waters, rainfall prediction, and groundwater monitoring. Nowadays, few water related projects can be executed without successful integration with computer-based modeling and simulation tools. Hence, using Hydroinformatics is essential in order to support solving problems and better management of water-based systems. Moreover, the application of Computational Intelligence methods comes among the new modeling techniques that have been successfully applied in Hydroinformatics. The ultimate objectives of this volume)is to provide the hydrology and computational intelligence communities with an updated, in-depth material on the application of computer-based modeling and simulation tools as well as Computational Intelligence approaches in the field of Hydroinformatics in order to finding solutions to the challenging and problems facing water related management and monitoring applications. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following: ================================================================== • Hydroinformatics and non-specialist decision makers • Applications of computational intelligence in aquatic environments • Data-driven modeling and optimization techniques • Water Remote Sensing and Sensor Technology • Applications of GIS and GPS in water engineering • Monitoring, early warning systems, and disaster mitigation • Risk and uncertainty analysis in Hydroinformatics • The ethics of Hydroinformatics • Real-Time control and DSS for water resources and quality management • Hydroinformatics and climate dynamics impacts • Data management, model interoperability, and standardization • Web-based HydroInformatics and smart environments • Fuzzy rule-based flood forecasting • Urban Hydroinformatics Chapters Submission: ====================== Submitted manuscripts should conform to the standard guidelines of the Springer's book chapter format. Manuscripts must be prepared using Latex, Word is not accepted, and according to the Springer's svmlt template that can be downloaded from (http://www.springer.com/birkhauser/mathematics/download?SGWID=0-40465-0-0-0). Manuscripts that do not follow the formatting rules will be ignored. Prospective authors should send their manuscripts electronically to the following email addresses:(Dr.Nashwa El-Bendary (nashwa.elbendary@ieee.org)), with cc-ing to (aboitcairo@gmail.com), with the subject title as: "Computational Intelligence in Hydroinformatics: Current Trends and Open Problems - Book Chapter" in PDF. Submitted manuscripts will be refereed by at least two independent and expert reviewers for quality, correctness, originality, and relevance. The accepted contributions will be published in Intelligent Systems Reference Library by Springer.
