Call For Workshops

We encourage submissions of workshop proposal on all topics in the general areas of databases, information retrieval, and knowledge management, especially workshops bridging these areas, or presenting new perspectives in these areas. A full list of current topics of interest can be found here.

Workshop proposals should be submitted in PDF using the submission site. Preliminary inquiries can be sent to the CIKM 2008 chair, Gregory Grefenstette: gregory.grefenstette {at} cea.fr with the subject: CIKM Workshop Proposal

Workshop proposals should address all the following issues:
# Title and Acronym of workshop
# Description of topics
# Scope and novelty of the workshop
# Workshop organizer(s) and their credentials
# Format of workshop (1/2 day, 1 day or 2 days)
# Intended Program Committee (indicate those who have agreed already)
# Highlights (e.g., keynotes, panels, journal special issue)
# Expected number of participants
# Details of any previous workshops
# Draft call for papers (PDF format) indicating the relevant topics and the intended program committee
