We are pleased to invite you to participate in the "2016 International Summer School on Social Networks Security, Privacy, and Trust" (SNSPT) that will take place at the University of Padua, Italy from September 4th to September 9th, 2016.
The school aims at bringing together members from the international security research community to debate contemporary issues in the area of privacy, security and trust in Social Networks. The school consists of lectures given by world-leading researchers in this area (see the list of our prestigious speakers below) and of a PhD forum.
SNSPT is supported by Registro.it project MIB, My Information Bubble (mib.projects.iit.cnr.it), the PhD school is organized in conjunction by the University of Padua -- SPRITZ Security and Privacy Research Group and the National Research Council (CNR) -- IIT “Istituto di Informatica e Telematica”, Trustworthy and Secure Future Internet Group. The University of Padua is a long tradition University (among the earliest Universities of the world, founded in 1222; hosted people like Galileo Galilei and Nicolaus Copernicus). A recent national assessment set the University of Padua as the highest ranking among leading Italian Universities for the quality of its research results. The National Research Council (CNR), is an Italian public organization set up to support scientific and technological research. The institution was founded in 1923. On 23 December 1987, the CNR records the first Italian internet domain: cnr.it. IIT-CNR carries out activities of research, assessment, technology transfer and training in ICT and Computational Sciences. In particular, research groups cover topics on mobile and pervasive networks, security and privacy, innovative web technologies and web algorithms.
