ABOUT WCIT 2014
The 1st World Conference on Islamic Thought and Civilization was successfully organized in September, 2012 with the theme Contemporary Challenges and Realities. For WCIT 2012, the organizer had accepted more than 700 abstracts, presented papers were almost 250 and participation were from 15 countries.

For that reason, the 2nd WCIT 2014 again cordially welcome scholars, theoreticians, individual, researchers, teachers, administrators, professionals, practitioners and other interested individuals from around the world and different areas of expertise to participate or submit their research papers for consideration from any of the relevant areas as mentioned in the conference scope & themes.

Some selected papers will also be published in our own Conference Journal Global Journal Al-Thaqafah (GJAT) which is currently indexed in Directory Open Access Journal (DOAJ), Ulrich, Crossref, Google Scholar, Index Copernicus International and MYCITE upon transfer of author's copyrights.

CONFERENCE SCOPE & THEMES
For WCIT 2014, 'The Rise and Fall of Civilization: Contemporary States of Muslim Affairs' was selected as the main theme simply because it holds a great deal of importance behind it. The scope or topics of interest include (but not limited) to the following sub-themes and views from Islamic perspectives:-

• Social and Human Science : Anthropology, sociology, psychology, Political Science, History, Journalism, Communication, Law, Economic and Business, Education, Management, Gender Studies, Hospitality and Tourism.

• Humanities: Studies on Religion, Philosophy, Literature, Linguistics, Languages, Art and Music.

• Natural and Physical Sciences: General Sciences, Astronomy, Cosmology and Geography.

• Applied Science and Technology: Engineering, Information Communication Technology, Computer Science, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Urban and Regional Planning, Environmental Design and Space Sciences.
