Context and Objectives

The pollution caused by human activities are varied and may lead to the destruction of natural habitat and deterioration of the quality of soil, water, air ...

The prevention of pollution, and the application of the precautionary principle on all potential pollution from human activities is systematic in applying the principles of sustainable development.

It is of course to remedy existing pollution, but also to anticipate and avoid sources of pollution to come, in order to preserve the environment and public health.

In recent years, environmental protection has emerged as a necessity that goes beyond the state borders to reach a global dimension. This awareness has resulted in numerous treaties, directives and conventions.

Protection of the environment considered as one of the pillars of sustainable development is an international priority.

The objective of this conference is to capitalize on the different experiences, studies and research carried out at the international level for the protection and preservation of the environment. This meeting will allow in addition of exchange experiences to
develop environmental protection strategies and spatial management tools.

The Committee of ICIME program solicits fundamental or applied research papers on the following topics (not exhaustive) :

Characterization and fight against pollution (air, water, soil)
Protection of the natural environment and landscape
Protection of species and biodiversity conservation

Environment and Sustainable Development

For all themes, papers for oral presentations and poster sessions are invited. Authors should indicate the theme under which their papers fall.
Presentations on the above topics will be organized in discussion sessions to facilitate the exchange of experience and further enhance discussion among presenters and audience.
Paper selection is based on full paper peer review following the guidelines provided in the “INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS” document that can be downloaded from the conference website.


ICIME AWARDS

All presenters are invited and encouraged to enter the ICIME award-winning competition for best paper presentation and best poster.
The criteria for award of best paper presentation are:


Innovative content
Time keeping
Clarity of presentation
Articulate response to questions.

The criteria for award of best poster are:

Innovative content
Quality of visualisation
Attractive design.


In addition to encouragement of quality papers and posters at ICIME 2014 conference through these awards, ICIME will support entry of outstanding papers into review processes for publication in topical peer-reviewed international journals.
