The International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA) is the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society’s flagship conference and one of the leading international forums for researchers in robotics and automation to present their work. The 2016 conference will be held May 16-21, 2016 at the Stockholm Waterfront Congress Centre in Stockholm, Sweden.
The conference will include plenary sessions, contributed paper sessions, workshops, invited tutorials, an industrial forum, exhibits, and robot challenges. Note also that the new Journal IEEE Robotics and Automation Letters (RA-L) now provides a possibility to submit and publish in the Journal, but present at ICRA. All details are provided at the link above. Important Dates August 31, 2015: Submission deadline for RA-L papers with ICRA presentation option September 15, 2015: Paper Submission deadline September 15, 2015: Workshop Submission deadline September 20, 2015: Video Attachment for submitted papers submission deadline October 15, 2015: Trailer contribution deadline (independent from video attachments) January 15, 2016: Paper acceptance notification February 15, 2016: Final contribution deadline All deadlines are 23:59:00 US Pacific Time. Download the ICRA 2016 Call for Papers Contributed Papers Papers reporting on novel research in robotics and automation are invited. All papers will be reviewed using a single-blind review process: authors declare their names and affiliations in the manuscript for the reviewers to see, but reviewers do not know each other’s identities, nor do the authors receive information about who has reviewed their manuscript. Prospective authors should submit PDF versions of their paper. Six pages in standard ICRA format are allowed for each paper, including figures. A maximum of two additional pages can be purchased. Authors are invited to submit a video to complement their submission. Detailed instructions for submission are available on the website. Paper Presentation Contributed papers sessions will consist of interactive presentations having brief spotlight oral presentations preceding the interactive portion of the session. Workshops Proposals for half-day or full-day workshops are invited. Workshops will be held on May 16 and 20, before and after the main contributed sessions. Given the evolution of the main conference tracks, workshops become even more the forum where attendees can get the most out of the expected exchange of ideas. ICRA 2016 organizers will aim at ensuring the highest quality content for workshops, so as to provide a venue for young researchers to actually interact with more senior experts. Detailed instructions for submission are provided on the conference website. Tutorials Invited tutorials will be held on May 20, after the main contributed sessions. Tutorials focus on providing highest quality education in the advanced topics that are at the foundations of cutting edge robotics and automation research, as presented by recognized researchers in the field. Exhibits The Stockholm Waterfront Congress Centre has excellent space for exhibits, which will be hosted in the main conference venue allowing for direct interaction with the attendees. Information for prospective exhibitors will be available on the conference web site. Trailer Following the positive experience of last year in Seattle, ICRA 2016 authors are invited to submit high quality videos to a trailer showcasing the conference highlights in an accessible format. This year the trailer theme is “duckies-in-the-loop and duckie-robot interaction”. Details on the trailer and the submission procedures can be found at www.icra2016.org/trailer. Note that trailer submissions are independent of the optional video attachment accompanying papers and do not go through PaperPlaza. |
