Session description
Scheduling and planning problems are still one of the interesting topics for both academic and industrial fields. They are present in a very large spectre of our real life from timetabling to crew scheduling and managing huge networks of multinational companies. In this context, the need to have models and approaches that can be responsive to an uncertain and disrupted environment and deal with the high complexity that characterise real actual new problems is still with an extreme importance. The aim of this track is to present the recent works that highlight approaches, models and tools dealing with planning and scheduling problems in a real life context. We encourage authors to submit works that have both theoretical and applicative aspects.
The topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
• Production Planning: tactical and operational planning
• Supply chain operations management
• Scheduling problems: timetabling, crew planning, etc.
• Reactive, proactive and robust approaches.
• Hierarchical approaches.
• Human in the loop approaches for scheduling.
• Deterministic, Stochastic and fuzzy mathematical modelling.
• Multi-agent modelling and Simulation.
SUBMISSION
Please submit your full paper choosing the right Special Session (19-Special Session: Planning and scheduling problems) on the EasyChair for CoDIT'17 website:
https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=codit17
All papers must be written in English and should describe original work. The length of the paper is limited to a maximum of 6 pages (in the standard IEEE conference double column format).
