Call For Papers

The 3rd IEEE International Symposium on Networked Embedded Systems for Internet of Things (NEST'14) will be held in Aizuwakamatsu, Japan on September 23th, 2014.

The Internet of Things (IoT) is expected to revolutionize the way we interact with devices at work, home, or public spaces. By providing network connectivity to embedded devices, everyday objects will be able to interact with each other, introducing new services and opportunities to end users.

Networked Embedded Systems have been applied to tackle a wide range of significant problems in various domains. However, current approaches often lack consideration of how networked embedded systems should be developed in IoT era. NEST aims to gather the best in current expertise in this field, to drive research into the integration of embedded systems and IoT and promote the use of networked embedded systems to address critical practical problems.

Topics of Interest
The objective of the symposium is to present state of the art research results on Networked Embedded System technologies in rapidly growing area of Internet of Things. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

Paper submission:
Papers are solicited in the IEEE proceedings format with up to six (6) pages. Papers in PDF format must be submitted via EDAS by using the following URL: http://edas.info/N15643.
All submissions must be original prior unpublished work and not under review elsewhere. All papers will be reviewed and selected based on their originality, merit, and relevance to the symposium. Accepted papers must be presented at the symposium, and will be published by IEEE Computer Society, which will be included in the Computer Society Digital Library CSDL and IEEE Xplore. All CPS conference publications are also submitted for indexing to EI’s Engineering Information Index, Compendex, and ISI Thomson’s Scientific and Technical Proceedings, ISTP/ISI Proceedings, and ISI Thomson. All accepted papers will be also invited to a journal special issue after extension.
