After the runaway success of last year's Electronics Rocks conference, our team is once again setting up to begin the engineering community-driven event at Bengaluru, Electronics Rocks 2014. We have learnt from last year's mistakes and plan to bring you a stronger event this year.


The two day event's content attracted great reviews last year for its fresh take on the traditional electronics engineering conference. This year we have decided to open up the event further, by inviting the entire engineering community to submit speaking proposals. The deadline for submitting a proposal is 10th of July, 2014.


This is a great opportunity for embedded engineers to gain exposure and share your experience and knowledge with the Indian engineering community. Last year's event, attended by over 1300 delegates overwhelmed us on many levels as it was twice the number of our expected engineering audience.


Topics for Sessions at eRocks 2014:
1. Internet of Things/M2M: Challenges with implementing IoT in the real world
2. Great Indian Jugaad: Talk on an exciting product design that you have created + demo
3. DESIGNOW: Talks on commercial designs targeting the spheres of automotive, medical and defence electronics
4. Rapid Prototyping: Sessions on rapid prototyping using desktop SMT, 3D printers or services
5. OPENDESIGN: Sessions discussing open hardware, FOSS EDA tools and overall DIY joy
6. MASTERCLASS: Workshops on building stuff or teaching innovative system design processes

Guidelines:
1. One Speaker may submit up to 3 applications
2. Speakers should be professional engineers, though there is no minimum years of experience required.
3. Submission should be made before June 15th.

This year's Electronics Rocks will take place in Bengaluru - India, at the NIMHANS Convention Centre on the 10th and 11th of October.
