1st Workshop on Fintech and Decentralized Finance (FiDeFix) https://sites.google.com/uniurb.it/fidefix-2023/home July 18, 2023 Hong Kong (SAR China) *** Submission deadline: March 10, 2023*** ====================================================================== This workshop aims at gathering together researchers and practitioners, coming from both academia and industry, to focus on the new challenges posed by the novel technologies and applications to foster innovative financial applications. Specific focus is given to the computer science aspects related to systems, algorithms and protocols for financial data management and analysis. Technical aspects for the development of reliable and scalable distributed systems are welcome. Paper submissions must present original, unpublished research or experiences. The submission of both “full-fledged” technical papers and “visionary” position papers is strongly encouraged. Late-breaking advances and work-in-progress reports from ongoing research are also encouraged. The specific areas of interest include, but are not limited to: - Distributed systems for financial applications - Blockchain-based system - Decentralized Finance (DeFi ) - Metaverse - Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti Money Laundering (AML) - Liquidity Pools and Automated Market Making (AMM) - Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) - Security and Privacy in Fintech - Distributed (smart) systems relying on cryptocurrencies and smart contracts - Blockchain in edge and cloud computing - Blockchain schemes for decentralization - Performance optimization of blockchain and decentralized schemes - Multi-Agent Systems for modeling fintech applications and services - Simulation and Modeling techniques for DeFi and Fintech applications - Digital Twins for Fintech - Machine learning and Artificial Intelligence in Fintech - Data analysis techniques for financial applications (portfolio management, insurtech, lending, etc.) - RegTech - Predictive analysis in Fintech and DeFi - Systems for Digital Payment Services - Sustainability in Fintech applications ## PAPER FORMAT AND SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS All workshop papers are limited to no more than 6 pages in IEEE format aligned with the IEEE-ICDCS main conference guidelines. Accepted workshop papers will be included in the IEEE ICDCS 2023 proceedings and will appear in the IEEE Explore Library.
