Sugarcane Breeding Institute will be organizing the 45th meeting of Sugarcane Research and Development workers of Tamil Nadu & Puducherry during 26-27 August 2014 to discuss the following topics.

i. Review of action taken on the recommendations of the previous meeting
ii. Pest management in Sugarcane
iii. Soil health management for sustainable cane production
iv. Current varietal position and Performance of new sugarcane varieties
v. All India Co-ordinated Research Project on Sugarcane & Co-ordinated agronomic experiments
vi. Sugarcane seed nursery programme.
‘Kothari Sugars & Chemicals Ltd., would be hosting the meeting. Manuscripts of the papers covering various topics may please be prepared as per the guidelines available in www.caneinfo.nic.in .

All the papers may be sent as printout along with a CD. Alternatively, the papers can be sent by email to sbiextension@yahoo.com. Presentations, created in Microsoft PowerPoint 2003/2007 format (.ppt/.pptx), should fit within the allotted time in the Technical sessions.
