Sugarcane Breeding Institute, Coimbatore of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research would be organizing the 20th meeting of Sugarcane Research & Development workers of Southern Karnataka during July 7-8, 2015 (Tentative) in Mysore,Karnatka to discuss the following topics:

• Review of action taken on the recommendations of the previous meeting
• Soil health for sustaining sugarcane productivity
• Pest management in sugarcane farming
• Review of micro-irrigation initiatives in the region
• Varietal position in sugar factories
• Performance of new sugarcane varieties & AICRP (S) Varietal trials
• Sugarcane seed nursery programme

The Coromandel Sugars Ltd., Makavalli would be hosting the meeting.
