Sugarcane Breeding Institute, Coimbatore of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research would be organizing the 46th meeting of Sugarcane Research and Development workers of Tamil Nadu & Puducherry during October 9-10, 2015 (Tentative) in Madurai, Tamil Nadu to discuss the following topics:

i. Review of action taken on the recommendations of the previous meeting
ii. Varietal management to improve sugar recovery in factories throughout the season
iii. Weed management in Sugarcane
iv. Current varietal position and Performance of new sugarcane varieties
v. All India Co-ordinated Research Project on Sugarcane & Co-ordinated agronomic experiments
vi. Sugarcane seed nursery programme


‘National Co-op Sugar Mills Ltd., Alanganallur, Madurai would be hosting the meeting.
