CALL FOR PAPERS: 21st meeting of Sugarcane Research & Development workers of Southern Karnataka

ICAR - Sugarcane Breeding Institute, Coimbatore in collaboration with University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore, the sugar industries of Karnataka and M. Visvesvaraya Sugarcane Research Institute (MVSRI), would be organizing the 21st meeting of Sugarcane Research & Development workers of Southern Karnataka during May 2018 in Mysore,to discuss the following topics:

• Review of action taken on the recommendations of the previous meeting
• Fertigation for sugarcane including post-installation micro-irrigation system-maintenance
• Review of mechanization initiatives in the region including mechanical harvesting
• Varietal position in sugar factories
• Performance of new sugarcane varieties & AICRP (S) Varietal trials
• Sugarcane seed nursery programme
